Chesterfield are in talks with veteran defender Kyle McFadzean about a new deal. The 39-year-old made 43 appearances for the Spireites this season as they finished sixth in League Two before losing to Notts County in the play-offs. Eleven players will be leaving the Derbyshire side, including defender Janoi Donacien, 32, midfielder John Fleck, 34 and striker Paddy Madden, 36. Ashton Rinaldo, Jamie Grimes, Adam Lewis, Vontae Daley-Campbell, Bailey Hobson, Liam Jessop, Freddie Ladapo and Benjamin Hole have also been let go. Chesterfield's decision to release these players may be a surprise to some fans, but it's a common practice in football to allow players to move on and make way for new talent. The Spireites will be looking to strengthen their squad in the coming transfer window, and Kyle McFadzean could be a key signing for the club.
